The Dominican Republic is a territory suited for the cultivation of coffee. In mountainous areas, caressed by the Trade winds of the Caribbean Sea, climate conditions are particularly favorable to the growth and maturation of mountain coffee, which is distinguished by typical characteristics of flavour and aroma in its varieties of Coffea arabica, Tipica and Catturra.

The Rio Limpio valley, the Constanza valley and the Soliman mountain ridge are the main production areas where the Associations and Cooperatives of Small Producers cultivate specialty coffee varieties in close collaboration with Natura Bella technicians and agronomists. Thanks to ameliorations in coffee quality and productivity, social and economic aspects of local communities are improved in order to ensure better living conditions, simultaneously fulfilling respect for the environment.
